Carley Leads Lakers Against Corning

FLCC baseball split a pair of games against Corning CC on Thursday. The Lakers (16-14) lost game 1 by a score of 5-3. FLCC collected 12 hits, but managed to leave several runners in scoring position on base throughout the game. Jarryl Carley (Spencerport) highlighted the Lakers offense by going 3 for 4 from the plate with 2 doubles.

FLCC rebounded in game 2 with a 16-3 victory. Similar to game 1, the Lakers collected 13 hits, but this time managed to capitalize with runners in scoring position. Greg Schworm (Churchville-Chili) went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles for FLCC. Carley added a 3-run inside-the-park home run for the Lakers. Jordan Doroshenko (Hamilton) picked up the win, pitching 5 innings while striking out 5 batters and allowing 2 earned runs.

FLCC will be back in action today (April 22nd) at Jefferson C.C. The game is slated to start at 1:00 PM.
