Baseball Wins Three Over The Weekend

FLCC baseball played a pair of doubleheaders over the weekend against Onondaga CC. The Lakers (8-6) won both games on Saturday: (game 1) 13-4 and (game 2) 5-4.Gary Carpentier (Oswego) pitched a stellar game in game 1 leading the way with 11 strikeouts. Justin Stowell (Horseheads) and Adam McPherson (Oswego) led the offense with 1 home run each. FLCC pulled out game 2 in 9 innings. The Lakers plated the winning run when John Bennett (Churchville-Chili) was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

FLCC baseball split the second doubleheader on Sunday losing game 1: 8-6 and winning game 2: 8-7. The Lakers committed 2 crucial errors in the 6th inning of game 1 and left 9 runners on base over the final 3 innings. Game 2 went to extra innings. FLCC pulled it out in the 7th inning  when John Bennett delivered a game winning single with the bases loaded. Conrad Dolbear led the offense with a home run and 4 RBI. Nick French (Lansing) earned the win with a scoreless inning of relief.
