Kyle Barkley named Player of the Year while 4 other FLCC Lakers named to All-Conference Team

FLCC's Kyle Barkley (Penn Yan) has been nominated to the 2011 Mid-State Athletic Conference Baseball All Conference Team and has also been named Player of the Year for the MSAC. The sophomore designated hitter compiled a .449 batting average with 5 home runs and 39 RBI for the Lakers this season. Barkley collected 48 hits (in only 107 plate appearances) with 12 doubles and 1 triple. He also scored 29 runs and stole 6 bases for FLCC.

4 other players from FLCC have also been voted to the 2011 MSAC Baseball All Conference Team. These players include; third baseman Conrad Dolbear (Mexico Academy), pitcher Gary Carpentier (Oswego), second baseman Dylan Ternoois (Lyons), and catcher Greg Schworm (Churchville-Chili).
