As an athlete in high school at Spencerport: Baker was a member of the basketball and baseball teams. As a member of the varsity baseball team at Spencerport, Baker was voted team captain and “Exceptional Senior” during his final season at the school. The freshman was a prodigy both on the mound and in the field as a first baseman in high school. He displayed a solid pitching and offensive career at Spencerport. Coach Marren will look to utilize Baker’s pitching talents this season in the bullpen as a relief pitcher. Baker has a strong repertoire of pitches and can overpower hitters with his fastball. He has the ability to make an immediate impact on the mound this season and will provide the Lakers with added depth in the bullpen. Baker is currently majoring in marketing.
