As a three-sport athlete in high school at Brookfield: Cowen was a member of the men’s soccer, basketball, and baseball teams. During his playing career at Brookfield, he was selected 1st Team All-State for Class D baseball and was named All-Mohawk Valley Player of the Year during his senior year. Cowen was also nominated 1st Team All-County for men’s soccer and basketball during his senior year. His ability to play both infield and outfield make for him to be a valuable addition to the Lakers roster in 2012. The freshman is currently a natural resources conservation major. His career goal is to become a conservation officer.
