Lakers to Host Erie Community College on Tuesday

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – After sweeping Corning C.C. on Sunday, the Finger Lakes Community College baseball team will remain at home on Tuesday. The Lakers will host a doubleheader with Erie Community College beginning at 2p.m. at Laker Baseball Field.
 
The Lakers and the Kats met four times last season. In each doubleheader, the home team won the pair of games. On April 10, 2012, the Lakers defeated the Kats 5-4 and 9-3, respectively. Just two days later, the Kats would strike to blank the Lakers in both games, winning 14-0 and 10-0.
 
Finger Lakes Community College sports a 9-15 record heading into tomorrow's contest. Branden Rhodes leads the team with a .448 batting average [minimum 40 at-bats]. Dakota Stackhouse leads the team on the mound with three victories and 21 strikeouts in 31 innings pitched.
 
Erie Community College enters tomorrow's contest with a record of 17-11. Sophomore Brian Barry leads the team with a .443 average [minimum 20 at-bats] and 29 runs batted in. Freshman Blair Lakso leads the team with a 2.92 ERA and 32 strikeouts in 24.2 innings pitched.
