Bio
In 2014, Mike Zollweg concluded his third season as an assistant coach of the baseball program at Finger Lakes Community College.
In addition to his position with the Lakers, Zollweg is currently a personal baseball coach in the Rochester, N.Y. area where he works one-on-one with pitchers at the youth and high school levels. Prior to his current coaching stints, he served as an instructor at the Frozen Ropes Baseball Training Center in Rochester, N.Y.
Coaching aside, Zollweg is an experienced baseball player himself. During his collegiate career, he was a standout player and three-time captain of the baseball team at the University of Rochester. Prior to his career with Rochester, he played one season at Finger Lakes Community College.
While playing at Rochester, Zollweg participated in an international tournament in Holland where he pitched the United States to a 2-0 victory in the championship game. Preceding his senior year with Rochester, Zollweg played in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League where he was selected to the All-Star team and was among the league leaders in lowest Earned Run Average.
