Lakers Experience Tough Shooting Night on road at Fulton-Montgomery
Johnstown, NY. – The Finger Lakes Community College Lakers (4-6) couldn't find any offensive rhythm on the road on Tuesday night at Fulton-Montgomery Community College (10-4), finishing the game shooting only 32% from the field in a 75-51 loss.
Despite the loss, the Lakers were highlighted by freshman shooting guard Richard De La Cruz (Washington Heights) and his team best 15-point performance. Sophomore guard Gio DiDuro (Geneva) was perfect from the free-throw line for FLCC, finishing 6 for 6 on the night on route to a season high 9 points. Freshman guard Nic Cesar (Brooklyn) supplied 8 points and pulled down a team-high 6 rebounds for the Lakers. Sophomore point guard Tyron Wilcox (Rochester) added a team-high 5 assists for FLCC in the loss.
The Lakers will now head to Monroe Community College this Friday (12/9) to play Monroe Community College in the first round of the Pete Pavia Memorial Tournament. Game time tip-off is set for 9:00 p.m.
