Wicks Paces Lakers In Road Win Over Broome
BINGHAMTON, NY. – The Finger Lakes Community College Lakers (5-9) ended their four game losing streak last night with a road victory over Broome Community College, 66-46.
Freshman point guard Nick Wicks (Webster) led the Lakers in the scoring column with 19 points, shooting 8-14 from the field and 3-5 from beyond the arc. Freshman shooting guards Nic Cesar (Brooklyn) and Sean Carbonell (Irondequoit) each contributed 13 points apiece in the win. Cesar controlled the glass for FLCC, pulling down a team-high 9 rebounds on the night. Freshman shooting guard Richard De La Cruz (Washington Heights) added 8 rebounds of his own for the Lakers. Sophomore point guard Tyron Wilcox (Rochester) added a team-high 4 assists for FLCC.
The Lakers will be back on the road tomorrow (1/14) for an away matchup against Jefferson Community College. Game time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
