Lakers Sustain Third Consecutive Loss
CANANDAIGUA, NY. – The Finger Lakes Community College Lakers (5-12) sustained their third consecutive loss on Thursday night, falling to Corning Community College at home, 73-62.
Freshman swingman (guard/forward) Sean Carbonell (Irondequoit) continued to highlight the Lakers offense last night, finishing the game with a team-high 17 points.
Sophomore point guard Tyron Wilcox (Rochester) poured in 13 points and handed out a team-high 5 assists for FLCC.
Freshman shooting guard Trevor Sanders (Shortsville) continued to gain more playing time, reaching double figures for the first time in a Lakers uniform by contributing 12 points. Sanders finished the game a perfect 6 for 6 from the free-throw line.
Sophomore forward Cody Sarkis (Greece) added 9 points and a team-high 11 rebounds for FLCC.
The Lakers return to the hardwood on Saturday (1/21) for their third consecutive home game. They will play host to Cayuga Community College at 2:00 p.m. at Putt Moore Court.
