As a member of the varsity basketball team at Palmyra-Macedon: Monpere was a force in the paint at the forward position. As an interior defender, Monpere delivered a defensive presence game in and game out in the paint and was also a viable scoring option on offense. Her ability to defend and score around the hoop could make for her to be a vital threat on defense and offense this season. Look for Monpere to develop into a “double-double” type forward as the season progresses, one that can post double figures in scoring and rebounding. The freshman is currently majoring in criminal justice.
