2011 NJCAA Women’s Soccer All-American Award Winners

Canandaigua, NY. – The National Junior College Athletic Association has announced its 2011 women's soccer All-American Award Winners. A pair of offensive juggernauts from the nation's top NJCAA Division III winning team Finger Lakes Community College Lady Lakers (22-1-1) were selected First Team for this honor, freshman midfielder Cayli Carmona (Rochester) and sophomore forward Colby Henderson (Canandaigua).

On the season, Carmona was second in the nation in (individual) overall scoring with 22 goals and 28 assists (72 points) in 23 games played. Her season highlights consisted of a pair of hat tricks on 9/29 at Niagara County Community College as well as on 10/1 at SUNY Delhi (both games resulted in 9-0 victories for the Lady Lakers). Carmona's best offensive game overall in 2011 took place on 10/9 at home against Jamestown Community College, where she recorded 2 goals and 4 assists in a blowout victory (Lady Lakers won 10-0).

Henderson finished the 2011 season fifth in the nation in (individual) overall scoring with 24 goals and 11 assists (59 points) in 22 games played. Her season highlights consisted of a pair of hat tricks in a duo of home games on 9/12 against Mohawk Valley Community College and on 10/9 against Jamestown Community College, both which resulted in  widely marginal victories. In the 7-0 win over Mohawk Valley Community College on 9/12, Henderson also recorded her highest scoring game on the season by adding an assist to her 3-goal output (finishing the game with 7 points). The sophomore garnered a successful 2-year stint at FLCC, finishing her career with 45 goals and 19 assists (109 points).
