A versatile player with great potential: Young, listed as a forward, has the elusiveness to not only deliver Coach Jones and his Laker teammates solid minutes in the interior, however, he also has the tools that fit that of a quality player in and around the perimeter. The 6’1” Edison Tech graduate brings a physical and mental toughness to the roster. His strength is categorized as immense. The freshman brings a list full of positives with him to the team. He can score the rock in and outside of the paint. Young, labeled as a solid ball handler, can drive the length of the court with a blink of an eye. He’s a great spot-up shooter. His rebounding and passing abilities are defined as superb. Young brings a ton of heart and enthusiasm to the gym each time he enters it. A player set on becoming an integral part of an already great program at Finger Lakes, Young has the make-up for being a crucial aspect of the Lakers offense and defense in his first year. His ceiling stands high. Given a touch of time and as he gains a grasp for the teams’ offensive and defensive schemes, this new addition without a doubt is a great fit for the Lakers.
