As a multi-positional lacrosse player in high school at Fairport: Pelkey was a versatile player, one who tended the net as a goalie and one who spent time on the offensive end of the field as a midfielder. His versatility will provide the Lakers with an added dimension on the field in 2012. Although Pelkey is expected to see a majority of his playing time at midfield, he does provide the Lakers with potential depth in the net if needed. The freshman is known for his above average speed and nifty stick handling skills. His skills on offense will compliment the rest of the Lakers ball handlers this season. Pelkey is currently majoring in liberal arts and sciences.
