High School: The forward enters Lakers territory with a great amount of buzz surrounding him. Stemming from Waterloo – where he wrestled and played soccer and baseball, Diaz is bringing a solid resume with him to Finger Lakes in his first year with the club. His athleticism shined bright in high school. In wrestling, he earned Rookie of the Year honors during his freshman year. On the pitch in soccer, the forward earned team MVP honors for 3 of the 4 years in which he was a varsity team member. Described as a speed demon on the field, Diaz has the ability to make opposing defenders fall, bend, and break – thanks to his swift mobility. Combined with his mobility is his charisma. The newcomer brings a great deal of it to the team both on and off of the field. He has the DNA to be a top notch leader in a Finger Lakes uniform. Don’t be shocked if Diaz terrorizes opposing team’s defenses in 2012. The offenseman is currently majoring in criminal justice.
