High School: The first-year Laker was a 3-sport athlete during his days at Byron-Bergen Central – where he played on the men’s soccer, basketball, and baseball teams. While at BBC, Lovelace was a strong force on offense – a force that struck fear in the minds of the opposition. Now, as he comes to Laker land, Finger Lakes will look to use his fear on the defensive side of the field. The coaching staff believes he has the makeup for being a player who can cause a ton of stress on opposing team’s offenses.  The 6’ defender gives the Lakers a great deal of cushion on D. He has the tools that make for being an extremely talked about defender. Lovelace is the type of player who donates 100% of his effort to the task at hand – which is exactly how he relates his efforts to playing the sport of soccer. He can halt opposing offenders with his defensive skills and can relay the ball to his teammates on offense faster than the speed of sound. Expect the addition of Lovelace to the Lakers roster to be a valuable one in 2012.
