High School: The track runner and outstanding soccer player deriving from Salamanca, comes to Finger Lakes with high hopes. The freshman defender brings a laundry list full of successful years with him as a member of Salamanca’s men’s soccer team to the Lakers sidelines. During his elongated soccer playing career in high school, Onuffer played on the varsity team for a span of 6 years. During his time with the team, he earned multiple MVP honors -- including MVP of both the team and defense. The defenseman was kept on the highly rated chart in high school due to his overwhelming talent on D. Onuffer was a forceful figure at Salamanca -- one that kept opposing offenders in check thanks to his competitiveness and work ethic. Combine his soccer playing background with his skill set -- and you have in front of your eyes a potential piece of greatness in this newcomer. Expect him to help shore up the Lakers D in 2012. Onuffer is currently majoring in athletic training.
