AUBURN, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College men's soccer team hit the road for Cayuga Community College for a NJCAA Region III and Mid-State Athletic Conference match with the Spartans at Falcon Park. Despite taking an early 2-1 lead in the first half, the Spartans would rally back in the second half of the match to win 3-2.
Marius Dalidet (Oulllins, France./ Saint-Thomas D'Aquin-Veritas) and Andre Budrich (Saxony, Germany/ Oberland-Gymnasium Siefhennersdorf) netted the Laker two goals in the match unassisted in the first half.
Freshman Ignacio Jimenez (Gautamela/ Bilingue Vista Hermosa) earned the start in goal. Despite a strong effort to thwart the Spartans' dynamic attack, the Lakers would concede the eventual game-winner.
The Lakers are back in action next Friday, October 20th when they travel to Elmira, N.Y. for a match with the Soaring Eagles of Elmira College.
