As an athlete in high school at Waterloo: Maleski participated in four different sports (women’s cross country, soccer, basketball, and softball). During her playing days as a softball player at Waterloo, she served as one of her team’s top starting pitchers. Maleski was an exceptional game manager as a starting pitcher. On the mound, she did an exceptional job of controlling pitch counts on a consistent basis. Her control and accuracy as a pitcher were superb in high school. Maleski was most notably known for being a solid situational type of pitcher, meaning she did a great job of managing pressure situations. Expect her to make a smooth transition to the collegiate level during her first year in a Lady Lakers uniform. The freshman is currently majoring in criminal justice.
