Softball – Lady Lakers Drop Set Of Home Games To Mohawk-Valley
CANANDAIGUA, NY. -- The Finger Lakes Community College Lady Lakers (4-24) lost a pair of home games today to the Mohawk-Valley Community College Lady Hawks, 14-6 and 1-0 (forfeit, 5 innings). The Lady Lakers were forced to forfeit the nightcap in the doubleheader due to having an ineligible player on their roster.
Game One Summary -- Finger Lakes pitching was no match for Mohawk's bats. The Lady Hawks did an excellent job of consistently spraying the ball around the park in the 14-run effort. Despite the loss, the Lady Lakers saw four of their players register 2 hits apiece on the diamond.
Lady Lakers Game One Individual Highlights -- The four players who reached the 2-hit mark in the opener consisted of Amalia Dolley (Horseheads, NY), Samantha German (Horseheads, NY), Nicole Taylor (Shortsville, NY), and Kayla Kline (Seneca Falls, NY).
Dolley's 2-hit performance came with 1 RBI.
German added a pair of runs scored to go along with her 2 hits.
In addition to her 2-hit effort, Taylor produced 2 RBIs with her lumber.
Upcoming Games -- Finger Lakes will remain at home for its next set of games. They will take on the Jamestown Community College-Olean Lady Jaguars on Friday (4/27). Game one is scheduled to get underway at 3:00 pm.
