As a forward for the Lady Lakers in 2011-12: Monpere was one of the teams’ top scorers and was FLCC’s leading rebounder. Upon the conclusion of her freshman year, the post player averaged 11 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in 26 games played. In terms of shooting, she shot 39% from the field and 66% from the free throw line. Monpere was and is a balanced player. Not only did she deposit the rock into the hoop at a successful rate last year, Monpere, along with her great rebounding abilities, doled out 53 assists, stole the ball 52 times, and put her touch on 35 blocks. On the season, she averaged 2 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. The 5’9” native of Palmyra, NY, is only expected to improve upon her successful freshman campaign in 2012-13. She has the athletic talent along with the playing experience necessary for climbing the ladder of greatness. Her potential to be a top-tiered forward this season stands very high. Monpere has the tools along with the shot making and rebounding abilities to establish herself as a dominating force in the NJCAA.
