High School: The tall 5’10” athlete was known as a top notch member of the women’s soccer and basketball squads at Marion. As a soccer player in high school, Blondell roamed around on the field as a sweeper from 2009 – 2012. As a basketball player, she split her time playing between the perimeter and the paint from 2010 – 2012 – as a guard and forward. The freshman played both sports at a high level on a consistent basis. Named First Team Wayne County her senior year for her play on the soccer field, Blondell rates as a high recruit coming out of high school. She has the length and height to wreak havoc on defense. Her long frame will be considered a beneficiary for the Lady Lakers. Expect her to be on the receiving end of a plethora of headers in 2012. Her lankiness will be very hard for opposing teams to game plan for. This newcomer can be expected to slide in nicely into Finger Lakes defensive lineup in 2012. Blondell is currently majoring in business administration.
