CANANDAIGUA -- The Finger Lakes Women's Soccer team defeated Corning Community College on Saturday by the score of 12-0. The Lakers are now 11-3 on the season and remain undefeated, 6-0, in Region III West play.
The Lakers offense was rolling on Saturday as they had one of the top offensive outputs in school history. They were lead by leading scorer Brittany Maggio. She netted five goals for the Lakers and also added a pair of assists. The twelve points is the second-most in a game ever by a Laker. Joining Maggio with multiple goals was Danielle VonHahmann and Amonie DiRoma. It was the third straight games with multiple goals for VonHahmann. DiRoma added a pair of assists to complete a six point game. Rounding out the scoring for Finger Lakes was Shanty Hawke, Rachel Graves, and Genesis Alvarado.
Finger Lakes will look to remain hot this week against Niagara County Community College. The Wednesday matchup will kick off from the Finger Lakes Community College campus at 4pm.
