Bio
In 2012, Jason Wild concluded his 4th season as an assistant coach with the Lady Lakers by assisting the team to a record of 18-2-1.
His primary tasks as an assistant coach of the team include working with the defense and goalkeeping staff on a daily basis.
Wild carries with him to Finger Lakes CC’s sidelines – a well-polished resume pertaining to the sport of soccer. A Canandaigua, NY native and graduate of Canandaigua Academy, he put his first stamp on a successful college soccer playing career in 2005 when he accepted an athletic scholarship to Canisius College (NCAA Division I athletics member). There, he spent one season playing on the men’s squad as an offensive forward.
After one season at Canisius, Wild transferred to Finger Lakes CC in 2006 to continue his college playing career. In just one season with the Lakers, he shined bright as a member of the teams’ offense (where he played forward) by earning MSAC All-Conference, NJCAA All-Region III, and NSCAA All-East Region honors. In addition, he was named team MVP of the ’06 roster for Finger Lakes.
After his loan season with the Lakers, Wild was on the move yet again. He would continue his playing career at Roberts Wesleyan College (dual member of the NAIA and NCCAA Division I) in his junior and senior years in 2007 and ’08. In ’08, he helped lead Roberts to an NCCAA East Region Championship title as well as to an NCCAA National Finals appearance (team finished runner-up). Also in his senior year, Wild was selected to the NCCAA All-Tournament Team and in addition was named as an All-American by the NCCAA.
After graduating from Roberts in ’09 with a bachelor’s degree in adolescent education and social studies, Wild, in the summer of 2010, earned a trial with the Harrisburg City Islanders – a current member of the professional men's soccer league in the United States (the Islanders were a USL-Division II team member at the time of his trial).
In ’10, as an assistant coach for the men’s soccer team at Finger Lakes, Wild helped guide the Lakers to a fifth straight Region III Tournament appearance. In ’09, he began his coaching career at Finger Lakes by serving as the head assistant coach of the men’s squad.
Wild recently graduated from Roberts with his master's in special education.
