As a freshman in 2011: The Lyons, NY native assembled a solid first-season with the Lady Lakers. In 2011, Smith compiled 307 kills, 48 aces, 294 digs, and 60 blocks in what was a great campaign for her and her team. Her hitting efficiency stood at 16% at season’s end. Her digs per set and kills per set averages were written in ink as 2.15 and 2.24 averages respectively. Entering year two at Finger Lakes, the sophomore is being labeled as one of the Lady Lakers marquee weapons. A talented athlete without a doubt, Smith is expected to be a reliable force in 2012 at outside hitter. She has the play-making abilities and work ethic to shatter her quality stats from last season. This season, the team can expect to lean on Smith with the guarantee that they will receive an ample amount of production in return. She is currently majoring in nursing.
