As an athlete at Finger Lakes in 2011-12: The sophomore was a standout guard on the women’s basketball team. The new addition, who was selected First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-Region last year – as a basketball player, brings a great deal of athleticism with her to the women’s volleyball side at Finger Lakes. Strait will look to bring her athletic talents to the hardwood this fall where she will be slotted in as an opposite hitter. She is fast and elusive and has the capability to deliver great energy behind her teams’ net. Her leadership will give her teammates a great sense of comfort. Strait, who exemplified the ability to lead the Lady Lakers basketball squad last year, provides the volleyball roster with an individual who always gives it her all – at all times. Don’t be shocked if this gifted individual leaves her imprints on the volleyball court this season – in an overwhelmingly positive manner. Strait is currently majoring in business administration.
