As a versatile athlete on his high school baseball team at Pavillion: Sallade was a standout defender in the field as a first baseman and behind the plate as a catcher. He was also a talented success on the mound as a pitcher. Sallade’s versatility and talent provides Coach Marren with a viable utility player. Marren will have the luxury of using him as a starter or utility player both on the mound as a pitcher or in the field as a first baseman. Sallade will see a majority of his playing time come on the mound as both a starter and reliever this season. His arm will add to the already talented core group of pitchers that the Lakers will possess this season. The freshman is currently majoring in sports and tourism studies.
