CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College baseball team concluded their midweek slate with a record of 2-2, as they recorded 9-3 and 8-7 wins over SUNY Jefferson on Wednesday, but fell to Monroe CC, 6-1 and then 6-3, on Thursday.

Christian Morrison (Macedon, N.Y./Palmyra-Macedon) kicked off game 1 against Monroe with a sac-fly RBI that brought home Joey Sanna (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) to put the Lakers up 1-0 in the top of the 2nd. However, the tides would shift in the Tribunes' favor from there, as they poured on a flurry of runs in both the bottom of the 2nd and the top of the 6th to finalize the 6-1 victory. Mason McClurg (Warsaw, N.Y./Warsaw)Alex Dungey (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas), and Andrew Wood (Big Flats, N.Y./Horseheads) all saw time on the mound, with Dungey delivering 3 strikeouts.

Game 2 saw much of the same, with the Tribunes jumping out to an early 6-0 lead. It wasn't until the latter half of the contest when the Lakers would get on the board, as Jeffrey Broadnax (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) scored on a wild pitch, followed by runs from Markus Brehm (Wayland, N.Y./Wayland-Cohocton) and Joey Sanna to cut the deficit to 3 in the final inning. Trenton Muck (Lyndonville, N.Y./Lyndonville) earned the start on the mound and put up a solid performance, while Dom Morsch (Churchville, N.Y./Churchville-Chili) and Charlie Cross (Stockbridge Valley, N.Y./Stockbridge Valley) both appeared for an inning.

The last stop of the Lakers' 3-game road trip will be Sunday, April 27th at 12 and 2:30 PM at Corning Community College.
