Esports Celebrates NJCAAE Division III Runner-Up in NBA 2K26
CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC) Esports Program is proud to announce that Antonio [Bananas585] Santiago has earned second place in the NJCAAE Division III National Tournament, competing in NBA 2K26.
Antonio fought hard through the NJCAAE Division III Regular Season, postseason qualifiers, and final tournament to take second place in national competition, falling to Hinds Community College located in Raymond, Mississippi.
Antonio is currently a second-semester Networking and Cybersecurity major at Finger Lakes. Playing remotely from home while also working. He is one of many FLCC Esports members who are able to play from home while taking remote classes.
"Antonio made a tremendous run in NBA2K, being the first student to complete the regular season, qualify for playoffs, and take a shot at the title. He has always been bright, communicative, positive, and we are proud to count him among us here at FLCC Esports. We know he'll make great strides in the coming seasons!" - Michael Van Etten, Associate Professor of Humanities and Esports Director.
This is the first full semester of NJCAAE Division III play for NBA2K at FLCC, and the first playoff appearance for Santiago.
