Canandaigua, N.Y. - On a bitter cold night in upstate New York, the Lakers struggled to find their rhythm from the floor and fell to Genesee, 82–68.
Hunter Martin (Auburn, N.Y./Union Springs) led Finger Lakes in scoring with 13 points off the bench, knocking down two three-pointers in just 16 minutes of action. George Spinelli (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy), Ryan Clark (Orlando, FL./South Lake), and Kellen Foster (Newark, N.Y. / Newark) all contributed 11 points tonight. Ian Florence (Rochester, N.Y./McQuaid) rounded out the double-figure scorers with 10 points, including two three-pointers.
Despite a late push in the second half, the Cougars' offense proved too much for the Lakers to overcome.
The Lakers will be back on the Putt Moore Court on Sunday for a 2PM game against Fulton-Montgomery Community College.
