Women's Basketball Tops Mercyhurst NE at Home
Canandaigua, NY -- The women's basketball team defeated the Saints from Mercyhurst North East College on Tuesday, November 15 in decisive fashion, improving their record to 3-3.
The Lakers controlled the tempo of Tuesday's contest right from the first tipoff. They outscores the Saints in every quarter. The Lakers ended the night with 41.9% field goal percentage, 51 rebounds,and 20 points off turnovers.
Two Lakers finished the night with double doubles. Ranaveya Richards had 12 points, 13 assists, and seven rebounds, while Janae Brannon had 12 points and 16 rebounds. Megan Howell finished with 16 points and nine rebounds. Krystal Hunter had 15 points and eight rebounds.
The Lakers will play away this weekend when they face Mohawk Valley Community College on Saturday, November 19 and Herkimer College on Sunday, November 20.
