Canandaigua, NY -- The Lady Lakers began their final week of the falls semester with great news. With a 10-3 record, they were ranked tenth in the NJCAA for Division III. On Thursday, December 15 the Lakers hosted Erie Community College, where they defeated the Kats 57-38 while improving their record to 11-3 and extending their current win streak to nine.
The Lakers were led by sophomore Megan Howell, who finished with 17 points. Krystal Hunter added 10 points and nine rebounds for Finger Lakes. Ranaveya Richards had eight points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Janae Brannon finished with five points, nine rebounds, and five assists.
The 11-3 Lady Lakers will have a long break ahead of them until they host the visiting Broome Community College Hornets on Thursday, January 12. Tipoff is set for 6pm on Putt Moore Court.
