Canandaigua, NY --The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Basketball team traveled to Broome Community College to compete against the Hornets on Wednesday, February 1. The MSAC Contest ended with a Lakers triumph over the Hornets, 69-54, improving their conference record to 6-2.
The Lady Lakers led the first half 43-21, and kept their lead throughout the final two quarters of Wednesday night's contest. Krystal Hunter led the Lakers with 28 points shooting 10 for 15 from the floor. Janae Brannon added 16 points for the Lakers while shooting 7 for 11. Megan Howell finished with 12 points and Katie DeJonge would add nine points to defeat the Hornets.
The Lady Lakers will travel to Jefferson Community College on Saturday, February 4 to compete against the Cannoneers in a conference match up at 1:00pm. The Lakers defeated the Cannoneers in their last contest at home, ending the match 58-53 in overtime.
