CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College women's basketball team fell to Onondaga Community College, 73-56, on Saturday afternoon in a home conference matchup.
Dalayla Alexander (Ellicottville, N.Y./Ellicottville) led the Lakers with 16 points, adding 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. Jazzmyn Lewis (Waterloo, N.Y./Waterloo) recorded a double-double, finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Kierra Shaughnessy (Canastota, N.Y./Canastota) contributed 11 points and 5 boards. Ella Robinson (Hallstead, PA./Blue Ridge) knocked down 3 shots from beyond the arc, tallying 9 points.
The Lakers struggled to find consistent offensive rhythm, shooting 30% from the field and 20% from three-point range. Onondaga capitalized on turnovers and second-chance opportunities, building a sizable lead in the second half.
