Saranac Lake, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Womens Basketball team lost a close game to North Country Community College, 50-38, after falling behind in the first quarter.
Finger Lakes would trail early and were unable to recover after being down 31-19 at halftime. Ella Robinson (Hallstead, PA./Blue Ridge) finished the game as the leading scorer with 14 points. Breanna Dunning (Penn Yan, N.Y./Penn Yan) and Kierra Shaughnessy (Canastota, N.Y./Canastota) both finished the game with 10 points. Shaughnessy also led the lakers on the glass, pulling down a team high 8 rebounds.
The Lakers will continue with their road swing on Wednesday when they travel to Jefferson Community College for a 5PM tip-off.
