Bio
His Plaque Reads: Motivation and talent merge in Dave Jewett; he has become an international Timbersports Champion since his graduation from FLCC in 1991. Recognized today as one of the top Timbersports competitors in the word, Dave projects the image of humble, well spoken, hard working and superbly conditioned athlete on international media. Frequent appearances on ESPN, interviews on NBC and CBS, establish Dave as on the of the best emmisaries of the growing Timbersports phenomenon. As a novice in the single buck contest at the Hayward, Wisconsin World Championships in 1992, Dave broke the world record on teh 20" white pine. Dave holds more than twenty overall and world championship titles. He is the only North American ever to win a sawing title in New Zealand. Dave earned the World Championship Title at Hayward, Wisconsin in 1994 and 1995. Most recently, he earned first place honors at the New York State Championship at Boonville in August 1998.
Dave conducts a thriving business in his hometown of Pittsford, New York during the winter season. His three dimensional wood scenes, rustic furniture and custom Christmas decorations utilize both his artistic talent and skills obtained from his degree in Ornamental Horticulture at FLCC.
