The FLCC women's soccer team shut out the Hawks of Mohawk Valley CC on Wednesday, September 14 by a final score of 2-0 and improve their winning streak to six.
The Lakers were held scoreless in the first half of play, getting off only nine shots. Lexi Bailey finally got the Lakers on the board in the 65th minute off an assist from Colby Kutzer. Jessica Williams would add a second goal for the Lakers in the final minute of play. She was assisted by Lindsey Lovett. Abigail Miller played a complete game in goal for the Lakers. She finished with seven saves and has her fourth shut out of the season.
Following Wednesday's game, the Lakers will host the Lazers from Onondaga CC on Saturday, September 17. Kickoff is set for 1pm.
