The FLCC women's soccer team (1-1) shutout the Vikings from Hudson Valley Community College on Wednesday, August 31 in a 2-0 victory.
The Lakers got on the board in the first half off a great penalty kick from Hayley Alden (Victor, NY). Their second goal come midway through the second half off the foot of freshman midfielder Colby Kutzer (Greece, NY). Sophomore goalkeeper Abigail Miller (Andover, NY) played all 90 minutes in goal for the Lakers, recording eight saves on the day. This is her first shutout of the season.
The Lakers will go on the road this weekend when they face the Cougars from Clinton Community College on Saturday, September 3. Kickoff is set for 1pm.
