#11 Women's Volleyball Sweeps Corning to Improve to 9–3

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The #11-ranked Finger Lakes Community College women's volleyball team added another win to its record Tuesday, sweeping Corning Community College 3–0 (25-16, 25-22, 25-18) at Putt Moore Court. The Lakers are now 9–3 overall and 2–0 in Mid-State Athletic Conference play.

Anna Kurtzhalts (Grand Island, N.Y./Grand Island) paced the attack with 7 kills, while Gabby Fenton (Buckeye, Ariz./Odyssey Institute) added 6 kills on a .214 hitting percentage. Allyson St. Germain (Cincinnatus, N.Y./Cincinnatus) chipped in 6 kills and 6 digs.

Setter Olivia Scheuer (Constantia, N.Y./Paul V. Moore) finished with 19 assists and 3 service aces, while Emma Balduf (Bergen, N.Y./Byron-Bergen) was steady behind the line with 4 aces and contributed 4 digs. Jackie Neureuter (Pembroke, N.Y./Pembroke) tallied 5 kills and added another ace, and Kayce Hennekey (Rochester, N.Y./West Irondequoit) was efficient with 4 kills at a .444 clip.

The Lakers combined for 13 service aces and held Corning under 20 points in two of the three sets.
