The Finger Lakes Community College lacrosse team dropped two game this weekend against #4 Genesee Community College on Saturday, April 16, and Bridgton Academy on Sunday, April 17. With the losses, the Lakers drop to 7-9 overall.
The Lakers fell to the #4 Cougars by a score of 24-6. Genesee scored the first six goals of the match. The Lakers then scored three unanswered goals against the Cougars defense. By the end of the first quarter the Lakers were down 7-4. The Lakers were held scoreless for the next two quarters of play, while Genesee added another eleven goals. Finger Lakes would find the back of the next two more times in the fourth quarter, but were unable to get any consistant offense going.
Matt Hall finished with four goals and one assist for Finger Lakes. Josh Roeland and Ethan Bakogiannis had one goal apiece. Andrew Buck had two assists for the Lakers.
The Lakers traveled to Maine, following their loss to Genesee, to face Bridgton Academy on Sunday. Finger Lakes played a well contested game but were unable to come out with a victory. Bridgton Academy took the game by a score of 10-5 over the Lakers. Alex Chiara finished with two goals for the Lakers. Josh Roeland, Ethan Bakogiannis and Andrew Buck had one goal apiece. Brandon Dickson finished with two assists. Bakogiannis and Zakk Mount each had one assist. Matt Spoor finished with 15 saves on the day.
