The Finger Lakes Community College Men's Lacrosse team finished the weekend 1-1 after facing Delaware Technical Community College and CCBC Essex back to back on Saturday and Sunday. The Lakers are now 3-2 on the season.
The Lakers defeated Delaware Tech CC Saturday by a score of 13-10. They were led by Zakk Mount who score 5 goals on the day. Ethan Bakogiannis finished with 2 goals and 1 assist. Matt Hall finished with 2 goals. Andrew Buck had 1 goal and 3 assists. Jessie Lewis, Branden Dickson and Justin Young had 1 goal a piece. Matt Spoor ended the day with 19 saves in goal.
On Sunday, The Lakers were defeated by CCBC Essex by a score of 22-1. Konner Bick scored the lone goal for Finger Lakes. Matt Spoor and Connor Tickner split time in the net with 30 minutes a piece. Spoor ended with 16 saves, while Tickner ended with 13.
The Lakers will return to action this Wednesday as they face the Panthers from Tompkins Cortland Community College in the Lakers first conference matchup of the season.
They will follow Wednesday nights game with their home opener on Thursday against Anne Arundel Community College at 4:00pm. Thursday night will also be the first Laker Pride event of the Spring season, so wear your blue and green and come out to support the men's lacrosse team.
